Are you ready for the yard sale?

We are!!! It took lots of hands several hours today, but the crop room is ready for your shopping pleasure. Our customers have so much stuff that they are willing to part with that we couldn't fit it all on the tables. If you look closely there are boxes with paper and the like under some of the tables. It just didn't fit!

We will be opening the doors at 9:00 tomorrow morning. The floor space will quickly be filled with shoppers. Don't forget, it is CASH ONLY. We run a separate cash for the yard sale, and the store will be open for other purchases, like the yummy papers that haven't made it to the website yet. Maybe next week will see some of that new product online.

See you in the morning!

March Product Highlight - Micron Pens

This month with our Product Highlight we are focusing on JOURNALING!! I know for some this part of the hobby is tough but it is one of the most important. We not only want to preserve the pictures but we want to remember the stories and details to go along with those pictures! Whether you like to put your words right there on your layout for the world to see or you like to keep it private and put it on the back of your layout, these fabulous pens are the perfect tool to get the job done!!

These fine-tipped smooth pens are not just for journaling though. They are also the perfect tool for adding a little bit of doodling whimsy or faux-stitching to your project.

And, for the month of March they are 15% off. A perfect time to pick up a few!

Here's what the Design Team did with them......

Heather - These pens are fabulous!!!! I love how smooth they write. I love the fine tip -- great for journaling, doodling, adding a decorative touch, or using in a template. I wanted to try altering a canvas to showcase one way to use these pens. I used lots of mist to create my background, then used a butterfly template. The 05 micron pens were great for getting into the finer areas of the template. I used Hunter Green for the butterflies and added some colouring and doodling with the Burgundy pen. I added a stamped sentiment in the centre and some handcut butterflies to finish it off.

Marissa - I love the Micron pens. I have been using a black one for journaling for 5 years. it is still a wonderful, smooth marker. The ones I use have a finer tip, which I like. I was given the green (hunter) micron, with a tip of 0.5. A fine tip. This is one pen I don't mind spending a little bit more on. I know it is a good one, and it works for a LONG time.

Mellissa - I did a layout using these amazing Micro pens. Since I don't have a sewing machine, I doodled on the layout using the brown pen. I like how it turned out. These pens are very smooth!! Since these layouts are for my Niece's album, I will send her a pen to do the journaling herself.

Tracey - I love these pens. I have a bunch of them. It is rare that you see a layout of mine without them. I pretty much use them for all of my journaling and I am big on journaling on my pages.

Anne Marie - Well I have to admit I have never used one of these pens but wow they are sure smooth! I did some dots, lines straight and curvy, and wrote on the inside and just love the feel.

**Don't forget that we also have a DT Call going on now. Check out the post below for all of the details.**

March Sneak Peeks!

Seriously, where is the time going?!?! March already! I can't believe it! One good thing is that all this time passing is bringing us closer to Spring!!

A new month brings about a new round of Sneak Peeks as well as a new Guest Designer. Please join me in welcoming Brenda Anderson.

I started scrapbooking almost three years ago now, thanks to the Turtle’s inspiration, although I’ll admit to being hooked on this amazing art for about 5 years.....collecting all the luscious papers and embellishments. I love watching a layout come together – it’s like opening a present, little by little! My beautiful daughter, Tina, is 27 and is a constant source of inspiration for me, in so many ways.

I’ll always be a Newfie at heart, but I live in Kitchener with my very new husband and best friend, Richie. He’s an incredible man, and my biggest supporter. He lets me take the craziest pictures of him, too. I enjoy photography, and playing in Photoshop and Painter. I like to vary it up in my layouts and try different things. I really love using all my Quickutz tools, and exploring creative ways to use the die-cuts. I believe that when I’m scrapbooking.....I couldn’t possibly feel unhappy, because I’m spending time with my most precious memories! I’m so happy to be creating for the Turtle this month.

Now let's check out what the team has been up to......

Marissa - This month I got the new SEI line Jocelyn. It is gorgeous. The papers have glitter, embossing, and glaze on them. All are double sided, with beautiful patterns. They also have coordinating cardstock!!! (And Bazzill has matching cardstock for this line! I am in love with the flowers and the colours. Very cool names for the different papers as well. Also in my kit was the Luxe Design Jotters - Friends. Little journal boxes. Oh how easy it is to journal when the box is made just for you! Since they are done in black and white you can add your own colour to match your LO, or leave it as is and see it POP!
Heather - This month I am working with the super adorable Three Bugs In A Rug Animal Stackers. I love this line!!! It is perfect for zoo photos, photos of young children, and animal photos. The papers are double sided, and the line comes with matching die cut shapes and chit chat stickers.

Tracey - This month I am playing with the super adorable camping collection from 3 Bugs in a Rug - The Great Outdoors! This line is killing me with the cuteness!! So perfect for kids' camping pictures!!

Mellissa - This month I am playing with the YUMMY Best Creations~Transportation~ line. When I first saw this line I knew it would be perfect for my boys. But after taking tons of pics at my grandaughter's birthday party, I knew that I could use this line for the girls also. My reveal later this month will show how you can use this line for both boys and girls.

Anne Marie - I have the SEI - Happy Day line!!!! Super cute! It has glitter right on the paper and it is embossed!! So cool!

Brenda - I'm so lucky to have been given the gorgeous Mr & Mrs line to work with. It's from Best Creations Inc., and it's so yummy. I wonder how they ever thought that I'd be able to use this line These papers have beautiful sparkly enbossing on one side of most of the sheets, with another pattern on the back with no embossing. They were so much fun to work with, and I'm especially happy with how the two wedding layouts turned out. In the full reveal in a couple of weeks, you'll see that you can also use this line for other layouts - it's not just suitable for wedding pictures.

**Don't forget to check the post below this for the new kits just released**
